A truly unique sculpture, this Moon Gazer Hare has been designed by the renowned artist Paul Jenkins.
Each one is hand crafted from a unique sequence of moulds, which are then sculptured and bisque fired to a high temperature in a kiln.
The sculpture is then glazed and kiln fired for the second time.
Finally the Hare is fired for a third time in a specially designed outdoor Raku kiln which produces the individual crackle finish.
Each sculpture takes one week to be produced, and due to the nature of the firing every sculpture is completely different, making a unique gift and keepsake.
Each sculpture bears a Paul Jenkins signature, and comes in its own protective packaging.

Moon Gazer Hare
Paul Jenkins was born in the West Midlands in 1949.Paul first started his career in art in the early 70s, studying in wood but was soon drawn to sculpting in clay and wax. He went on to study ceramics at Dudley College of Art. Within five years Paul had a growing customer base that included galleries and private customers around the world.
Paul has created several pieces for the National Trust. Many of his pieces are inspired from direct observations of wild animals in their natural habitat.
It takes approximatey one week to create one Raku sculpture.
A specially formulated clay is used to produce the sculptures which is fired three times to produce the unique finish.
